- Member brought issues
- Ms. Esther Randall of the EKU Art Department contacted Ms. Belluscio regarding an artist that specializes in art of
individuals with disabilities. Ms. Randall would like to bring this artist to campus and would like to have an art expo
and is asking for the committee to be a co-sponsor.
- The committee was interested in the expo and came up with some more ideas to be included in or with the
expo:
- Having the combination of the artist Ms. Randall is talking with as well as individuals that are disabled
that are artists themselves.
- Possibly getting Cardinal Rehabilitation Center, Frazier Rehabilitation Center, and the State Arts Council
involved.
- Plus maybe getting Madison County Special Education classes involved with children's art.
- Recommended month to have the expo would be October (Disabilities Awareness Month).
- Possible location that was discussed was the Grand Reading Room in the EKU Library.
Motion was made to adjourn by Dr. Loy, second by Ms. Belluscio; all were in favor. |
