New Business
- Enlarged Campus Access Map (Ms. Belluscio)
Mr. Ron Yoder has created a new digital accessibility map for campus.
Ms. Belluscio asked the committee what the committee would like to have on the map; this would include such things as handicap parking, phone access, etc.
Mr. Herzog mentioned that a committee of Ron Yoder, Larry Westbrook, Mark Whitt and himself to discuss fire, accessibility, information desks, evacuation points, etc. should be discussed possibly for this upcoming map, if not for the maps located next to every elevator.
- Pool Access (Ms. Belluscio)
Governor Scholar that is disabled wasn’t able to use the swimming facilities.
EKU doesn’t own a lift of any kind for individuals with disabilities for usage of any of the swimming facilities on campus. This has been a problem before but nothing was ever done.
Ms. Belluscio would like for us to add this to the working list to have the committee work on to make them accessible.
- Member Brought Issues
400 Brockton and Inpoundment Lot
There are plans for moving the inpoundment lot. With this in mind the request was to make 400 Brockton handicap accessible.
This remodeling is being proposed to the President.
There is need for accessibility with 400 Brockton as well as wheelchair accessibility to the Brewer Building.
Mr. Jozefowicz is asking for support from the committee on this upcoming project.
Mr. Herzog mentioned he and his department would be happy to assist in signage for this area.
